Editorial policy and corrections

Sourcing

We prefer primary sources: official statements, streams, uploads, filings and on-the-record comment. Second-hand reports are attributed to the outlet that published them.

Anonymous claims and unverified leaks are only published when there is a clear public interest, and they are labelled as unverified in the body of the story.

Reporting versus analysis

The 'What happened' section contains reporting. The 'Emperoro take' section contains opinion and analysis by the newsroom. Community reaction summarises what audiences are saying and is not an endorsement.

Corrections

If a story is wrong, we fix it and say so. Substantive corrections are noted in the story with the date and the nature of the change; typographical fixes are made silently.

To request a correction, email emperoroapp@gmail.com with the article URL and the specific claim in question. We aim to respond within two business days.

Right of reply

People and organisations named in a critical story may request a response be added. Reasonable, on-topic responses are appended to the article.

AI use

Automated tools may assist with translation drafts and formatting. Every published story is reviewed by a person before it goes live, and the newsroom is responsible for its accuracy.
